Can you rustle up a meal when you have not had the time or the chance to shop? Or do you get straight on the phone for the takeaway and then feel guilty (bad diet, more expense)?
Does your kitchen work for you? Kitchens should be organised in certain ways according to what sort of cook (every day/ weekends only/parties) you are.
Is it everywhere all of the time? It shouldn’t be. With systems in place, you will cut the time you spend doing it and you’ll know where those rugby shorts are. And that can only be a good thing.
This should be a room to relax in but so often turns into a dumping ground - for papers, magazines, toys, and everything else that you can’t find a home for. And where is the TV handset?
Your haven of peace and tranquillity - or not. Again decluttering and organisation are the key words.
Do they look as though every object they own is on the floor? Do your kids constantly say that they have nothing to do, nothing to play with? Decluttering and organisation are needed so that they can find their games, their toys and books, and their clothes in the morning.
Are you pro-active or re-active? If re-active, the chances are that you simply don’t have time to come up with ‘that brilliant idea’ because you can’t see the wood for the trees and you waste precious minutes/hours/days trying to stay on top of a paper demon. Systems are needed and systems are easy when you know how.
